Wow! What great action on opening day.
Lots of schedule requests resultd in some last minute revisions, but everything ran like clockwork.
Two new teams the Unibombers and Mark and the Pussycats opened the action, with the cats winning 40-24. Mikehebert led the polished cats.
While Nick Welch led the UniBombers with 3 TDs and 4 sacks.
Meanwhile on the other field the Co-Ed Assassins went up against the Knights, in a close game untl the final 3 minutes where 4 TDs were scored. The Knights outscore the Co-Ed Assassins 24 - 20.
The Knights were led by Chad Stevenson with 3 TDs and 2 Ints. Veteran Center Reynauld Nault supplied the other TD. Reg Regier had 2 interceptions, while QB Rick "the hammer" Bonik also had 4 interceptions and 4 TD passes. Miguel Therrien also had an Int.
Ben Shea led the co-ed Assassins with 3 TDs and 2 converts, with an interception . Sister Jessie Shea had 3 sacks, and Uncle Wade also had an interception. QB Jordan Gagnon fired 3 TD passes.
In the nightcap, the Gong Show Co-ed team defeated the Frigates 26-13. Marc Jeanson was the story as he scored 7 points had 2 interceptions and threw for 3 TD passes. On the receiving end a diversified list of receivers and TD scorers. They included Rebecaa Duhard and Craig Swanston with one each, while Barry Dejaegar has a 1 point convert a sack and an interception. Craig Swanston and Brett Thurston also had ints for the winners.
Replying for the Frigates were Roger Schroubrock and Justin Johnson with a TD each. Jeremy Allen picked upa convert, whiley Harley Johnsonhad an int.Roger Schroubrock also threw for a TD pass.
